Bvik and Idram Standing by Young Readers
News |
Back in February, the results of the “Flight on the Wings of a Book” reading competition—implemented through the cooperation of the “Bvik” initiative and Idram—were summarized, and on December 5, the “Towards Flight” and “Flight on the Wings of a Book” competitions were organized for the second time, again with Idram’s participation.
This time the event took place at Ayb School, where book-loving students aged 11–18 had gathered. Over the past several months, they had not only enriched their worldview through the books they read, but had also newly discovered the big and important topics of financial literacy. During the online course organized by Idram, the children learned what expenses and savings are, what responsible choice means, how to save and manage money wisely, how to distinguish “must-have” from “want,” and how to build a great future through small steps.
According to Anahit Yuzbashyan, co-founder and director of the Bvik Educational Foundation, children participated in the financial literacy course organized by Idram with great interest. “During these six months, we conducted book discussions and soft-skill training sessions with the children. As they themselves mention, the most important for them has been financial literacy, and none of this would have been possible without Idram’s support,” said Anahit Yuzbashyan.
Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Social Responsibility Programs department at Idram and IDBank, says: “At Idram, we are confident that the future begins with the right knowledge. It is a great honor for us to participate in an initiative where children not only read, but also learn to think, discuss, create, and responsibly shape their financial behavior. Financial literacy is one of the fundamental pillars that must be built from school age, and we are happy that our educational programs are able to make a real impact on children. We thank the ‘Bvik’ initiative for the cooperation, and we believe that these programs will continue to leave a positive mark on the lives of many young people.”
The event prizes were provided by Idram, continuing its mission to support educational and social programs.
