AraratBank Announces Change in Executive Leadership

ARARATBANK OJSC announces that, effective May 5, Vakhtang Abrahamyan has been appointed Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of AraratBank.
Vakhtang Abrahamyan is a senior banking and financial sector executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in central banking, financial infrastructure, and emerging digital finance.
This appointment will mark a new phase in the Bank’s
development, driven by digital transformation and the modernization of its
governance and business models, while continuing to uphold a responsible and
sustainable approach.
The Bank also announces that,
following six years of dedicated service, Mher Ananyan has concluded his tenure as Chairman of
the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer of AraratBank. His time in this role spanned an
exceptionally challenging period; however, the Bank successfully preserved its
operational resilience, maintained robust regulatory compliance, and remained
firmly guided by its core values.
The Bank’s Board of Directors
expresses its sincere appreciation to Mher Ananyan for his valuable
contributions, strong leadership, and significant role in the Bank’s
sustainable growth.

Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
