The Potential of Armenians: On the Path to Preparing Fertile Ground

Potential — a word composed of two roots: “inner” and “power.”

It lives deep within the identity of an individual, a nation, a culture. It is the force that manifests itself in the right environment — in conditions that nurture its growth. Just as a seed, when placed in fertile soil, grows and brings good to many, so too does the potential of Armenians. When there is support, when the right tools and education are available, and when ideas are valued, this potential manifests itself, bringing about real change. 

Armenians have left a profound impact on the world with their creative, analytical, and organizational abilities in science, art, business, culture, and many other fields. Historically, Armenians have succeeded whenever they have been in an environment where support exists, where ideas and innovation thrive, and where education and the necessary tools are within reach. In such environments, Armenians have created lasting values that have withstood the storms of time, passed them on to future generations, and united to work toward common, universal goals. 

Now is the time for all of us to create such an environment right here in Armenia — one where innovative thought is free, education is strong, technology is accessible, and every individual feels that their potential matters. 

It is the homeland that must become the fertile ground where Armenians can discover and realize their potential. Today, more than ever, we have the opportunity to revive the power that has always been within us, waiting for the right moment to emerge. We simply need to create the right environment — to think, learn, create, try, fail, and move forward. An environment where every Armenian has the opportunity to reach the highest point of their abilities while contributing to the good of their homeland.
