C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia announces that it has won the P&I WorldPensionSummit 2025 Excellence & Innovation Award in Investments for mobilizing pension assets in real sector and infrastructure,”. The award was presented during the annual summit held November 4-6 in The Hague, Netherlands.

Pension funds from more than 20 developed and developing countries competed to be recognized as the best in three categories, and in the ‘Investments’ category the principal award goes to C-Quadrat Ampega Armenia.

C-Quadrat Ampega pioneered pension fund investments in venture capital - the first such investment in the history of Armenian pension funds - working closely with local VC firms to elevate governance, risk management, and compliance to institutional standards. The initiative diversifies pension portfolios while strengthening Armenia’s emerging VC ecosystem. It addresses two key challenges in Armenia’s economic landscape: the rapid growth of pension assets outpacing suitable local opportunities, and the need for long-term investment in infrastructure, human capital, and innovation.

At its core, the project mobilizes long-term private capital, including pension assets, to support infrastructure and real-sector enterprises - unlocking new investment channels, reinforcing Armenia’s capital-market foundations, and contributing to sustainable economic growth.

A panel of global retirement-industry leaders serving on the WorldPensionSummit advisory board praised the initiative, noting that it both reflects the current constraints of investing in Armenia’s markets and has the potential to serve as a model for other countries seeking to integrate pension capital into local innovation funds.
