The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated during a meeting with the heads of government delegations participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council that the TRIP project opens up crucial opportunities for the development of regional transport connections.
Key opportunities and significance.
Direct railway connection. The TRIP project will open a direct railway connection between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
International integration. The project will allow Armenia to fully integrate into the international railway network.
Persian Gulf — Black Sea corridor. A railway connection is being established between the basins of the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea.
Regional impact. The project will be a monumental change for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Iran:
