With the participation of representatives of the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia (SFS) and the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor), a working meeting was held. The parties discussed the preliminary results of joint inspections conducted in Armenian companies operating in the veterinary and phytosanitary sectors from May 20 to 27. This was reported by the press service of the SFS.
Agreements and standards The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation, Alexey Shcheglov, thanked the Armenian colleagues for their joint work and the organization of the process. According to the agency, a consolidated report on the results of the inspections will be published in the coming days.
Before the publication of the official summary report, an agreement was reached between the controlling bodies of the two countries to conduct border control measures more thoroughly. It was emphasized that the market of the Russian Federation, which is one of the largest platforms for the export of Armenian producers, must ensure the export of products that meet the requirements established by the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
