On October 8, the Government of Armenia approved the proposal to sign a protocol on the implementation of the agreement between the governments of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan regarding the procedure for visits and stays of citizens, as well as the agreement on readmission.
Why this is important. The new agreement clarifies the terms of mutual visits of citizens of the two countries without registration and the list of necessary travel documents, as well as deepens cooperation in combating illegal migration.
Main conditions of regulation.
Entry and stay periods. Citizens of both countries will have the right to enter the territory of the other state, exit, transit, and stay for up to 90 days (within 180 days) on equal terms.
Registration requirement. After 30 days of staying in the country, citizens are required to register with the internal affairs authorities.
Travel documents. A list of necessary documents has been established for citizens of Armenia, including a passport, identification card, diplomatic passport, etc.
Readmission protocol. The procedure for implementing the readmission agreement aimed at joint efforts against illegal migration has also been approved.
