According to the Statistical Committee of the RA, in the first quarter of 2026 (January-March), 2,817.6 million kWh of electricity was produced in Armenia, which is an increase of 7.3% compared to the same period in 2025.
Production structure and changes In the first three months of this year, the main growth in energy production was provided by thermal power plants (TPPs).
TPPs. Growth 45.1% (1,244.0 million kWh).
NPP (nuclear power plant). Decrease 1.4% (936.9 million kWh).
HPPs. Decrease 34.3% (337.9 million kWh).
Solar stations. Growth 1.4% (298.4 million kWh).
Wind stations. Growth 2.5 times (0.4 million kWh).
Contribution of autonomous producers The indicators also include data from autonomous producers (about 152.7 million kWh), highlighting the increasing role of small energy in the system. It should be noted that according to the methodology, the cost data of autonomous producers are not included in the total volumes, creating a difference between physical and value indicators.
