U.S. President Donald Trump has filed an amended $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the publication «The Wall Street Journal» (WSJ) and its parent company «News Corp.» in a federal court in Florida. In April of this year, the court dismissed the initial complaint, reasoning that it did not sufficiently demonstrate the presence of actual malice on the part of the journalists, meaning the intentional falsification of information or gross disregard for the truth.
According to «Bloomberg», Trump's lawyer Alejandro Brito noted in the amended lawsuit that the defendant exhibited criminal negligence in the fact-checking process and «deliberately evaded the truth».
