2026 Digital Wallet Rating by Speed, Commissions, and Usability

Digital wallets are becoming more popular day by day for paying for services, making transfers, and managing daily expenses.

However, from the perspective of usability, wallets differ significantly from one another. One is more suitable for QR payments in shops, another for cash replenishment via terminals, a third for transfers, and a fourth for residents of regions where not only apps but also the presence of physical branches are important.

AFM compared 8 digital wallets presented in the Armenian market: easywallet, Idram, Telcell Wallet, FastShift, HayPost Pay, MobiDram, TeamPay, and UPay. The rating took into account commissions, speed, coverage, convenience of daily payments, and additional functionality. The data is based on a study of digital wallets provided by AFM and is current as of May 10, 2026.

Methodology of the AFM Rating

To ensure the comparison was objective, the wallets were evaluated not by brand recognition, but by practical criteria that are important to the user in daily use.

The rating took into account the following criteria:

Criterion

Weight in the Rating

Why It Matters

Commissions

30%

Show how much money you lose during account replenishment, transfers, payments, and cashing out

Convenience of Daily Payments

25%

It is important how many services can be paid for and how easily it is done

Speed and Accessibility

15%

Affects the speed of registration, identification, and transactions

Coverage

20%

Terminals, QR points, partners, and offices determine where using the wallet is actually convenient

Additional Functionality

10%

Cards, NFC, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit/installment options, cashback, and international transfers make the wallet more useful

Commissions and payment convenience carry the greatest weight, as they directly determine how much a person pays and how often they can use the wallet. Coverage, speed, and additional functions are also important, but they depend more on the specific situation: for example, someone needs QR, someone else needs terminals, and a third person needs a digital card.

If you mainly pay via QR, Idram will be more competitive.

1st Place — Idram

Idram occupies the first place thanks to a combination of several factors: a wide QR network, connection with IDBank, digital banking products, international opportunities, and a developed infrastructure for daily payments.

The main advantage of Idram is its more than 26,000 QR points throughout Armenia. This is important if you frequently pay in cafes, shops, service points, pharmacies, or other places where you do not want to take out a bank card or cash. In such situations, Idram becomes one of the most profitable and convenient options.

Through Idram, the following are available:

  • more than 300 services,

  • utility payments without commission,

  • transfers within the system,

  • transfers to a card,

  • international transfers via idpay,

  • Idram Rocket Visa card by IDBank,

  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, and NFC,

  • Rocket Line installment option,

  • integration of AliPay+ and WeChat Pay systems.

There are also disadvantages. Account replenishment via terminals costs 0.6%, and payment for Viva-MTS services via Idram has not been available since February 2026. In addition, some of the functions work only after passing identification.

Idram suits those who actively pay via QR, want to link their wallet to banking products, and use the app not only for utilities but also for transfers, cards, installments, and daily purchases.

2nd Place — easywallet

easywallet is slightly behind Idram in the overall rating, but wins in another aspect: it is one of the most convenient wallets for those who want to cover as many household tasks as possible with a single app.

easywallet has more than 1,000 services, which is the widest catalog among all the wallets reviewed. Through the app, you can pay for utilities, fines, parking, Car Insurance (APPA), tickets, loans, and more.

The Easy Garage section is particularly useful. It solves the problems of vehicle owners: fines, parking, insurance, and other payments related to the car. For users who regularly deal with such expenses, this is not just an extra function, but a real convenience.

The strong points of easywallet:

  • more than 1,000 services,

  • more than 4,000 EasyPay terminals,

  • Payoneer opportunity,

  • EasyGarage for drivers,

  • EasyEvents for buying tickets,

  • transfers via Unistream,

  • connection to ArcaPay with a 0% commission on separate directions.

Limitations: it does not have its own virtual card, NFC, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. In addition, clear tariffs are not specified for all operations, so before cashing out funds or making a large transfer, it is better to check the commission directly in the app.

easywallet suits those who need a wide catalog of services, convenient execution of household payments, car maintenance services, and the ability to use a wallet without a complex banking ecosystem.

3rd Place — Telcell Wallet

Telcell Wallet is a powerful option for users who frequently replenish their wallet with cash or are used to using terminals. Telcell has one of the largest physical networks in the market with more than 4,500 terminals.

This is especially important for users who do not always want or cannot top up their wallet from a bank card. Terminals continue to remain in demand not only in Yerevan but also in the regions, where people pay with cash more often.

Advantages of Telcell Wallet:

  • more than 4,500 terminals,

  • more than 600 services,

  • replenishment from a card — 0%,

  • replenishment via terminals — 0%,

  • free Visa Digital card,

  • QR payments,

  • NFC, Apple Pay, and Google Pay,

  • Yerevan public transport payment,

  • PartPay — 0% installment for 1–3 months.

The main disadvantage is the commission for transferring to a card: 0.7–0.8%. This is higher than that of a number of competitors. For this reason, Telcell Wallet is convenient for replenishment and payments, but it is not always the most profitable if you often transfer money back to a bank card.

Telcell Wallet suits those who frequently use transport and terminals, want to quickly top up their wallet with cash, pay for transport, and have a free digital Visa card.

4th Place — FastShift

FastShift stands out with a simple logic: the fewer the commissions, the easier it is for the user to understand the real cost of operations. The wallet offers 0% for most standard actions: replenishment from a card, transfers within the system and to a card, and separate operations with Fast Bank and Fastex.

This is convenient for those who do not want to check every time how much will be charged for a transfer or cashing out, especially if they use the wallet regularly.

The strong points of FastShift:

  • 0% for most operations,

  • 0% for replenishment from a card,

  • 0% for cashing out to a card,

  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, and NFC,

  • more than 400 services,

  • YoYo children's wallet,

  • integration with Fastex,

  • cashback in real money up to 20%,

  • more than 1,300 terminals.

However, FastShift also has limitations. Replenishment via a terminal costs 200 AMD, and loan repayment also costs 200 AMD. In addition, the wallet does not have its own virtual card, and the scope of services is smaller than in the case of easywallet or Telcell Wallet.

FastShift suits those who want to have a modern wallet with low commissions, NFC, Apple Pay, Google Pay support, and clear conditions.

5th Place — TeamPay

TeamPay received a high score in terms of commissions, as it offers 0% for replenishment, transfers, and cashing out to a card. For the user, this is a simple and understandable scenario: money can be replenished, transferred, and cashed out without additional expenses.

A distinct plus is identification via imID. This speeds up the connection and lowers the barrier to entry. TeamPay also offers a Visa Digital card through Ameriabank, NFC, and Google Pay.

The strong points of TeamPay:

  • 0% for standard operations,

  • quick identification via imID,

  • Visa Digital card through Ameriabank,

  • NFC and Google Pay,

  • free automatic payment,

  • 0% for utility services,

  • integration with Team Telecom Armenia.

Among the main disadvantages are the absence of QR payments, Apple Pay, and international transfers. The catalog of services is also inferior to the leaders of the rating.

TeamPay suits those who want a simple wallet for basic payments, utilities, transfers, and making transfers to a card without commission.

6th Place — MobiDram

MobiDram does not enter the top lists by the number of services or additional functions, but it has a rarely encountered advantage: USSD payments. This means that separate operations can be performed without a smartphone and internet.

For a segment of users, this is still important. For example, if the user does not have a smartphone, is located in an area with weak internet coverage, or simply does not want to depend on a mobile app.

Advantages of MobiDram:

  • USSD commands,

  • integration with Viva,

  • replenishment from a card — 0%,

  • replenishment in offices and terminals — 0%,

  • utility payments without commission,

  • transfers to Russia via MTS branches,

  • international transfers.

Disadvantages: a small network of services, no NFC, Apple Pay, Google Pay, own card, or powerful bonus program. In terms of functionality, MobiDram is inferior to more modern wallets.

MobiDram suits Viva subscribers and those for whom the ability to make payments even without a smartphone or a stable internet connection is important.

7th Place — HayPost Pay

HayPost Pay is difficult to directly compare with Idram or Telcell Wallet, because its strong suit is not QR, NFC, or digital cards. The main advantage is the physical infrastructure of HayPost.

HayPost Pay has access to 850–900 postal branches operating throughout Armenia. This is especially important for small towns and villages where the digital infrastructure may be less developed, and the post office remains a traditional point for making payments and receiving money.

The strong points of HayPost Pay:

  • wide regional network,

  • receiving cash at postal branches,

  • international transfers via PosTransfer, Unistream, Ria, and other systems,

  • utility payments without commission,

  • state operator.

The limitations are significant: there are no QR payments, NFC, Apple Pay, Google Pay, virtual card, or transfer to a bank card. Replenishment from a card costs 0.9%, and taxes and state duties may be paid with a commission.

HayPost Pay suits residents of regions, those users for whom cash, postal branches, and international transfers through a physical network are important.

8th Place — UPay

UPay is the simplest wallet in the rating. It is convenient for basic payments, especially if the user is already within the Ucom ecosystem.

Through UPay, you can pay for utilities, mobile connection, APPA, parking, and transfer money to Idram. However, compared to competitors, the functionality is limited.

Advantages of UPay:

  • 0% for account replenishment,

  • 0% for utility payments,

  • integration with Ucom,

  • transfers to Idram,

  • simple interface.

Disadvantages: no QR, NFC, Apple Pay, Google Pay, international transfers, own card, or developed terminal network.

UPay suits Ucom subscribers who need a simple wallet for basic payments without complex extra functions.

What to Pay Attention to When Choosing a Digital Wallet

Before registering, you should look not only at the number of app downloads. It is more important to understand how specifically you are going to use the wallet.

Check the following points:

  • is there a commission when replenishing from a card,

  • how much does it cost to top up the account via a terminal,

  • is there a commission for cashing out (transferring) to a bank card,

  • is it possible to pay for the utility services you need,

  • does QR payment work in your preferred locations,

  • are Apple Pay, Google Pay, or NFC capabilities available,

  • are international transfers available,

  • is identification required for the operations you need,

  • are there limits on the balance, transfers, and cashing out.

The best digital wallet is the one that solves the problems of your daily payments with minimum commissions and without unnecessary steps.
